This half term we are going on a 'Safari Adventure'
We listened to the story of Handa’s Surprise and later had a wonderful time re-enacting it together. We learnt all about a little girl who lives in Africa and compared our lives; we had many discussions about her life, the animals that she encounters on her walk to her friends village and her own home!
Some children decided to make baskets out of junk modelling to carry fruit on their heads, which was very tricky indeed! Others found Africa on Google maps, We noticed that the satellite images were very different to the ones of Atherstone.
